Ask a Scientist Series – Conservation Photography

July 3, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Mohsin Kazmi is a conservation photographer specializing in tropical ecosystems. His work has taken him from the montane forests of Madagascar to the steaming lowlands of the west Amazon, focusing on the complex interaction between humans and nature on the frontier of our planet’s most important biomes. His work has been featured by Mongabay.com, Yale Environment360, Ecology.com, and at the United Nations International Forum on Forests. Mohsin recently completed his Master’s in Environmental Science and Policy at Johns Hopkins University and continues his conservation work in the Appalachian Highlands of Southwest Virginia. He is also a guide and co-founder Tamandua Expeditions, an ecotourism/conservation initiative in the Madre de Dios region of Peru that protects over 27,000 acres of primary rainforest habitat through his NGO Junglekeepers.
