Science Pub: A Conversation about Hemp

Explore the science of industrial hemp as Blake Butler, Executive Director of the North Carolina Industrial Hemp Association, leads a discussion with a panel of experienced hemp farmers and processors. Hemp and the many uses of this versatile plant have triggered much excitement recently, but also much information. Come learn from the experts and discover more about the science and possibilities of hemp.

Panelists will include Franny Tacy, hemp farmer and owner of Franny’s Farm and Franny’s Farmacy; Nathan Taylor, hemp processor and owner of Lux Botanics; and Brad Todd, hemp farmer, processor and owner of Growers Hemp.

Science Pub events are free to the public, with free drinks and light snacks, thanks to the generous sponsorship of The Collider, Wicked Weed Brewing, Ingles Markets, and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority. Doors open at 5:30 PM, and talks begin at 6 PM.
