The Asheville Museum of Science STEM lab is a learning space designed for informal programs.
In addition to a focus on family interaction, the learning objectives for these programs reflect the development goals of the Next Generation Science Standards, ISTE and the Mathematical Practices; all of which are tools focused on 21st century skills (creativity, collaboration, cross disciplinary thinking, communication) and real world problem solving.
The mission of our STEAM program is to create highly skilled, sustainable job readiness for Western North Carolina through the empowerment of our youngest learners, using the latest creative technologies and forward thinking mindsets.
Now that is something we can all get STEAMed up about!
