AMOS offers students meaningful, student designed, STEM oriented curriculum and facilitate activities based on what the students would like to learn about! Students build their own curriculum by brainstorming topics that they would like to learn more about or to investigate. Student curriculum building helps to give students ownership over their learning and also helps to keep them more interested! We pull from our lesson bank and design new curriculum when a new idea pops up!
AMOS would love to offer YOUR students meaningful STEM oriented curriculum! We believe in hands-on learning, making most of our activities challenge-based, such as the marble run challenge where teams of student’s design and build a marble run to see who can get the longest time. We love to trick students into learning by making the activities seem like games or challenges!
Previous activities: Code making and code breaking, rocket design and launching, ice cream making and states of matter, volcano making and eruptions, leaf chromatography, and slime and chemistry lessons.
