Sonic Sensation

The Asheville Museum of Science presents Sonic Sensation, developed by Sciencenter (Ithaca, NY). On view at AMOS May-early September, 2026.
Come experience our sonic world to closely examine the ways we perceive sound, the physics of hearing, and how to tinker with decibels, amplitude, frequency and sound waves to make your own unique beeps and boops.
Make a movie soundtrack, match sounds, shriek louder than a howler monkey in the Scream Chamber! Try to distinguish between high and low pitches, make music through dance moves, launch sound waves through an ear drum, and send some seriously sonic signals direct to your brain.
Sonic Sensation presents a fun and lively opportunity to explore the science of sound in our daily lives.
