Summer Camps (rising K-2nd grades)

Registration for our 2019 Summer Camp is now open!

AMOS offers Half-Day and Full-Day Camps for Rising K – 2nd Graders.

When: 8:30 – Noon OR 8:30-5:00 pm*
*Late pickup until 5:30 available at request/payment

Where: Asheville Museum of Science

Pricing: $150 half-day per week, $300 full-day per week

STEM Camp: June 17-21st and July 15-19th

Explore the wonders of science in this half day camp at the Asheville Museum of Science. Make potions, explore engineering, make a dance party with light and sound, and build a living miniature biosphere. Each day we will use our hands, hearts and heads to study a cool new topic in science. When not working in the museum’s STEM lab, we will play games and go on scavenger hunts in the museum exhibit room.

Young Inventors: June 24-28th and July 29th-August 2nd

Do you have a young inventor at home? Help foster their problem solving and creativity in this week long half day camp that is all about invention. While we will learn safe tool use for working with cardboard, wood and computer coding. We will learn about famous inventors and how to take to take an idea and make it real. Participate in an invention convention to show off projects on the last day of camp.

Mini Roboticists: July 8-12th and August 5-9th

Calling all mini-engineers! Come learn to apply the Engineering design process by participating in robotic design and building! Become robots for a week and discover how humans communicate to robots and how robots understand us!
