SUMMARY:STEAM Lab: Making Do
DESCRIPTION:This summer the STEAM Lab is chock full of projects\, experiments\, and open-ended activities that challenge us to make and do with recyclables\, everyday familiar objects\, and what we would normally consider “scrap” materials.  \nExplore how scientists\, engineers\, artists\, and everyday community members reduce\, reuse\, and “upcycle” in their work and daily lives. Help us make a community tapestry with binary code\, carefully construct your own scale model\, invent a new toy\, take risks\, or even turn the STEAM Lab into a recycling center!  \nThese activities will run all month long and will get better and more ambitious as kids and adults work together to build miraculous things!  \nSTEAM Lab is open during regular AMOS operating hours pending any special closures. Facilitated experiences occur on Saturdays with AMOS Educators. For more information on STEAM Lab programming call our Front Desk at 828-254-7162.
