Science Pub | En-ROADS: America’s Next Top Climate Model!
November 21 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
AMOS is excited to bring a new series of Science Pub lectures to the public, all located at the Collider in downtown Asheville. On Thursday, November 21, join us to learn about En-ROADS: America’s Next Top Climate Model!
Explore what it takes to address climate change with the latest simulator from Climate Interactive and MIT. En-ROADS is a climate model made (here at the Collider) for everyday people but recently used by members of Congress, Presidential candidates, and Governors. This Asheville Science Pub will feature real-time interactive experimentation with En-ROADS, led by its developers. It will equip you with a more comprehensive view of the necessary response to the climate challenge.
- Andrew Jones, Climate Interactive Co-Director
- Ellie Johnston, Climate Interactive Climate & Energy Lead
- Caroline Reed, Climate Interactive Climate Communications Associate
Science Pub events are now on Thursdays! They are free to the public, with free drinks and light snacks, thanks to the generous sponsorship of The Collider, Wicked Weed Brewing, Ingles Markets, and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority. Doors open at 5:30 PM, and talks begin at 6 PM.
