The Asheville Museum of Science’s shop has partnered with six other Asheville-area gift shops, including the Asheville Art Museum, the North Carolina Arboretum, the Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center, the Moogseum, the Vance Birthplace and the WNC Nature Center, to launch the area’s first-ever Museum Store Weekend “Passport Program,” a weekend-long incentive program that offers shopping discounts, in-store events, and gifts with purchase in celebration of Museum Store Sunday. Supporting non-profit organizations that serve our community is a great way to give back!
On Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1, shoppers and supporters can travel around the Asheville area with their museum “passport” and redeem the listed discounts and promotions for each institution, including 20% off of Science Kits, Astronaut Ice Cream, Dino Plush, and Geodes at AMOS’ museum store. In addition, participants who earn four stamps, with at least one from a location outside of downtown Asheville, can earn a free Kamibashi string doll (while supplies last). Participants can also enter to win a gift basket worth more than $200. The gift basket is full of merch from all 7 participating stores. No purchase necessary.
