A Basic Introduction to 3D Modeling

A power hour introduction to 3D Modeling presented by Epic Games developer Tom Wright. Get your feet wet with this brief introduction to computer graphics using the free, open-source software, Blender 3D. Along with a quick overview of open-source and the software used to make film and games, we will be teaching how to navigate Blender 3D and build simple 3D printable objects. This course is applicable to fields like Virtual and Augmented Reality, Feature Animation, Video Games and 3D Printing.
Tom Wright has over 17 years of experience in film and games working on franchises like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Uncharted and Battlefield. He is currently teaching an online course in 3D graphics for Western Piedmont Community College that is available to any NC resident!
Note this is a Bring Your Own Devise workshop, please come with a laptop that you can download applications to. Registration is required, tickets $5.
