Ask a Scientist Series – Saving Stellaluna: Why Bats Are Important and How We Can Help Save Them!

I am originally from Alabama and spent most of my childhood playing in the dirt. I went on to study biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and I just completed my Ph.D. at the University of New Hampshire studying North American bats. I now work at the National Academy of Sciences advising our government on science-related issues, but I still LOVE bats!
