AMOS Ask a Scientist Series

May 29, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Join AMOS for a Facebook Live conversation with our featured scientist this week, Mira Sytsma, a wildlife ecologist with a love for large animals!

We want to hear from you!

Send in your questions this week or tune in.
To ask a question, email us at edu@ashevillescience.org or post your questions to our social media!

In addition to your questions, send us pictures or stories from your environmental education exploration by emailing us or tag us on social media!

Mira Sytsma is a wildlife ecologist who is completely fascinated with large mammals! She completed her graduate degree at the University of Washington in Seattle in June of 2019, where she researched large mammals in Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska. Currently, she is a Science Communication Fellow with the Pacific Science Center in Seattle and a science writer for Pretty Smart Science. When she’s not thinking about mammals, you can find her hiking in the mountains or in the kitchen testing out new recipes. For information on her research, science communication work, and recipes she swears by, visit her website and follow her on twitter: www.mirasytsma.weebly.com, twitter @mirasytsma
