Join AMOS for a very special event with the Defenders of Wildlife. On September 14th, Defenders of Wildlife will host their fall educational event focused on raptors and their fall migration through WNC.
Jen Knight, Educational Director and Senior Naturalist with Balsam Mountain Trust will present Return of the Raptors, with several live raptors! Attendees will have the opportunity to see the raptors up close and personal while learning about the important role they play in our ecosystems, their fall migration through WNC, and how people can help protect them. This event is sponsored by the museum and will be hosted in our STEM Lab from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This event is FREE but space is limited. Please register by emailing: southeastoffice@defenders.
Then, be sure to mark your calendars for September 16th as the Defenders’ staff will lead a hike to the summit of Mt. Pisgah- a favorite viewing spot – to catch a glimpse of the raptors’ migration at the start of the peak week. Space is limited. Contact email@example.com for questions and to reserve your spot.
